Hello and welcome! I currently lead commercial and privacy legal at a robotics startup in the Bay Area after stints in biglaw and other tech companies. I love working with cutting edge technologists in-house, and count myself lucky to be a happy lawyer. I wasn’t always here though, and spent many years wondering whether law was the right choice for me, whether I had what it took to succeed, and just how on earth to get there. A lot of what pointed me the right way were serendipitous conversations, mentors in my life at the right time, and lots of trial and error. It took me a while to figure out everyone was just muddling their way through. It shouldn’t take so much luck to be a happy lawyer, and I hope some of my muddlings help someone out there muddle a bit less on their journey.
Outside lawyering, I’m raising three small tornados kind and beautiful human beings (I draw about meme-able parenting moments on Instagram and Etsy), play video games, build legos, and drink copious amounts of bubble tea.
Last, what’s a lawyer to do without disclaimers? Here’s a few that apply to all the content you’ll find here:
- My own opinions ≠ not my company’s.
- ≠ legal advice
